Time spent away from one’s normal life for the purpose of reconnecting
What can I say about retreats? Our main focus for retreats currently are Women’s Retreats. These occur every May and September. Currently they are in Flagler wheatlandcenter.com but others may occur elsewhere. Since ours is a small group, we combine with Church in the Wind of Denver and their ladies. Sometimes other churches join us as well.
Living in a way that
glorifies God
We have fun, fellowship, play games, eat (a lot!), and pray, praise, cry, and work on crafts. This is a time for us to stay up late, nap if we want, go to the local thrift store, work on our hobby, or catch up with a friend. Women 18 and older are welcome and the topic tends to be some theme of growing in God, living in a way that glorifies God, or other topics of relevance that are occurring in our lives at the time. Children over the age of 1 are not allowed as the area is not baby-proof and the retreat is to get away.
