God Loves You-John 3:16a “For God loved the world in this way:
God loves you
The first point of the gospel is as believable as it is simple. The overarching theme throughout the Bible is the fact that God loves His creation, especially His crowning creation, you. You have been knitted together by the Creator God!
Have you ever seen an illustration of a DNA strand? Most of us have. It is coiled together almost as if it was knitted together much like a knitted sweater is constructed of a pattern of yarn, repeated until the pattern is complete. Our DNA was knitted together by the Creator God, this is an extremely intimate and loving action. In Job we see that not only did God clothe us in flesh and weave our structure with bones, He gave us life in love and protects our lives.
( Job 10:11-12)
And as 1 Peter 1:5 says, “You are being protected by God’s power through faith for a salvation…” God knows what is best for us, even when we struggle to understand. We can trust what the Lord has laid out before us. Remember that we are created in our mother’s womb, and God does not waste material. He is always doing something; He is never doing nothing.
Finally, to understand God we must look at HIs divine attribute of love because God is love.
Love is from God because He is the source of love. We cannot love Him without Him first loving us, therefore we can say beyond a shadow of doubt that God loves us.
God Came to Earth for You-John 3:16b
“He gave His One and Only Son”
God came as a human for you
The second point of the Gospel is to realize that God did something so amazing that it qualifies as the greatest miracle since the miracle of creation. He came in human form for us. Knowing that His creation was lost to the hopelessness of sin, God’s plan from the very beginning was to send His Son for us. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and took on the mantle of flesh ( Matthew 1:18-23).
The amazing thing about the Son of God coming in human flesh is His attitude. His attitude was one of love and service. He left His throne of glory as the King to become the image of the slave ( Philippians 2:5-7). Not only that, He did so not as an adult, but in the form of a helpless baby to be an example for us for our whole lives. His virgin birth shows the commitment God has for His creation. His creation failed to follow the rule in the Garden of Eden and mankind fell into a sinful nature ( Genesis 3). Because He wants to have a living breathing relationship with us He sent His Son to live a sinless life. ( Hebrews 4:15) Through His sinless life we have access to the mercy and glory of the Father because the sinless Jesus did what no other human would ever be able to do, die for our sins.
God Died and Came Back to Life for You-John 3:16c
“so that everyone who believes in Him”
God died and rose from the dead for you
The third point of the Gospel is the big question. What to believe about Jesus? Going back to Romans, we simply confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that He rose from the dead ( Romans 10:9). It’s through His blood (death) that we have the ability to enter eternal life in Him. Jesus is the ultimate Passover sacrifice because of the shedding of His blood, and our belief in the power of His blood. Jesus passes over our sinful nature just as the Angel of Death passed over the doors of the Hebrews before the Exodus.
( Exodus 12:13)
Why is the salvation story so gory? God requires a blood sacrifice for sins. In the Old Testament the blood of lambs was used to cover the sins of the nation of Israel. That is because our blood would not work because of our sinful nature. Every human being, other than Jesus, has a sinful nature.
Through the blood of Jesus, because of His sinless nature, we have access to eternal life because our sins are no longer with us. They have been washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ.
So, through the blood of Jesus Christ, we have access to eternal life with Him. And through the power of the resurrection, we have the ability to enter the eternal realm of heaven. Jesus Himself is the most studied person of antiquity in history, and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is arguably the single greatest attested fact of antiquity. That’s because it is the most important action our Creator God has ever taken.
This has always been the plan, from the very beginning. The Son of God had always planned to die, was born to die, lived His life to die, and He did die, just as according to His grand plan called for since the foundation of the earth.
This is the most important thing that you will have to decide for yourself. Did Jesus really die and come back to life? This is the cornerstone of the Christian faith.
As you research the verses given here, and the countless others that are not, you will find that this core of the Gospel message is indisputable. This simple truth is the core of TFM Church without Walls and will be given in every message, to allow all who visit our website, live stream, or retreats to know that the most important message in the world will be readily available.
The first three points have already been fulfilled.
God is Coming Back for You-John 3:16d
“will not perish but have eternal life.”
God is coming back for you
The fourth point of the Gospel is a promise given to us by Jesus Himself. For us to have the ability to access the eternal we need a body that can go there. Jesus said that He is making those bodies, or dwelling places, for us and when He returns He will give them to us.
( John 14:2-3)
Our resurrected bodies give us the ability to see the face of God Himself. Perfect in every way, our new dwelling places will give immortal lives in, with, and through the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Paul gives us the greatest explanation of these new bodies and what they will be able to do in ( 1 Corinthians 15:35-58).
These four points are all that is necessary for salvation by Jesus Christ. All you need to do is believe!
